Description: This patch works on vanilla US Version of non-headered smw.


IMPORTANT SIDENOTE: There is 3 different MSU-1 patches for Super Mario World that each accomplish slightly different thing. Each set has PCM sets that are designed for that specific patch. hello, thank you for the super mario world version MSU-1
I'm trying to apply the translation in Portuguese-Brazilian, whenever I do this the game is no longer compatible with the format msu-1
Note: the game is translated and it works, but it is no longer compatible with msu-1

If you can add my PCM pack and the youtube preview link above that would be great Conn, thank you. I plan to expand this to the SMW MSU-1+ hack but that will be another day's project.

For these PCM tracks, the underground and underwater theme might be the same as other available PCM packs but I actually did some edits to the songs such as tempo and volume changes as well as how it loops the track. I really like a lot of the overworld maps as they go into jazzy arrangements if you stay in one area long enough. Hope you enjoy!

I updated my PCM set today.

Updated on June 6th, 2022 – Replaced a few tracks with better music I found, edited the tempo on a few tracks, adjusted the volume level on the majority of tracks.

So, my tutorial is 25 minutes long, it is a bit of a time investment, but i do answer all these questions in it. To start, how "long" the track should be actually doesnt matter, it is as long as you desire before you input the loop point. my tutorial has a timestamp section at about 12 minutes in called something like "what to do with tracks that dont need looping" and i teach how to do a none loop track (which is even easier).

The music does not speed up when reach 100 timer, i have forgotten that to be a feature of the game as i do not take long on levels anymore. Basically, the track that uploads plays the same whether you have yoshi or not or if the timer is running out.

As for track map, let me see what i can do

EDIT: I did find this in the readme file. These are not my level descriptions but you should be able to figure it out from this. If you are unsure, just listen to my PCM tracks (or the other set available).

hey all, i wanted to thank everyone in the community for their amazing work and helpful advice

it turns out there was an AQUA MIDI pcm set made in an earlier post, but it appeared to have earlier revisions/different artists of some songs, and a pop at the beginning of one of the files. i've fixed all the ones that seemed to have an issue, except for the p-switch music.

the pcm sets here seem to add the "p-switch activate" and the "p-switch time running out" sound effects to actual track in audacity. does this mean the game doesn't dynamically add those two effects to the p-switch music? If so, would someone be able to provide a higher quality sample of those two effects?
