About The Update:
The Legend of Zelda: 18 Hours Past is a Zelda III romhack that was finished while under an 18 hour time limit as a challenge between Letterbomb, Zarby89, Jared_Brian_, and Scawful. Obviously with limited time to design a game, there's things that could be improved on, and that's exactly what v1.10 sets out to do. However, do NOT mistake this as just a simple update. There will be a ton of things from Custom Minimaps, Menus, Story Cutscenes, and more added into the hack. This update also plans to polish absolutely everything like Text, Palettes, Difficulty, and other things while keeping most of the design of the hack the same, to keep the feeling the hack brought in v1.00.

Not yet no, which is why this is in "In Progress." I plan to hopefully have it out sooner or later though! Just have to work on some Intro Cutscene and Ending Cutscene stuff and a couple more things before it's done. Smile

Also mostly put this here since not much really goes on in this section of the forum lol

Hello! I just updated on 18 Hours Past v1.10 in my Discord and I feel like I should also post it here just to show more Z3 things. Some things may be out of context but it should be still fine to look at for people not in the Discord. Without further ado;

In the last update, I showed off that I got the Intro Cards completely drawn and put into the game. I was super happy with that, but I knew there was also going to be another portion of the cutscene I would have to finish; the actual scenes that happen afterward. As mentioned, Zarby89 has helped me make it customized. While there are some things in the cutscene that are minorly changed, the big thing that he helped with was the very last scene of the cutscene, which some may have seen from the ZScream Discord.

When I was planning out the Text for the Intro Cutscene, I knew that I would want to include the Link/Uncle scene at the very start of the game in the cutscene. Unfortunately, Zarby told me that the Intro Cutscene was actually really hardcoded and it wouldn’t really be possible to do myself. But, Zarby recoded the scene which helped in replacing the sprites and palette that the cutscene uses to make what I wanted possible. To show what I mean, here is a screenshot of what it looks like in Vanilla and what it turned into in 18 Hours Past.

In fact, I really want to be generous and show off the whole cutscene now that it is all finally complete. Even though I showed the Intro Cards last update, I’ll show them here again with the rest of the cutscene to really home in the fact that I got this whole thing done.

It’s awesome that I was able to get this into the game, and it would not have been possible without the help of Zarby, which as always has just helped me out a ton with the more custom side of things. As of recently, that’s really all I have gotten done though besides the Text. I don’t really think a lot of people would be that interested in seeing Text though. Hopefully next month however I should have a lot to show off for this game, whether it’ll be from releasing it or more updates on the hack itself.
