Top Gear the 1st game

Nevermind bout the music..they where on the wrong numbers.. i found the right order to put it on...the 5 songs...oh other thing i noticed is when u loose the game..when reset to title screen it still playing the track of msu i lost and the spc title screen music .. is there a way to mute it? plp opcode?

If they are playing together, then it plays the spc with msu. Here you'd need to set a stz $2140 in the msu code.

nobody remixed those songs we dont need to hack those..so
is good like i have it... the title screen and the 4 tracks are working..and after stage 4. .it restarts with msu 1st track.. so u got it right..

btw, I found a way to attach small files to a post. This is of big help for everybody. The usual files (txt, png, pdf) can be attached normally, unusual like ips, asm and such must be zipped first.

Here's an example of attach files with those you offered, you need to "post reply", "quick reply" won't show this option. You can attach up to to 2 files, each 200 kb.

hmm i found other little flaw. or bug.. u know on the title screen it switches to DEMO racing..it stays in black..is like the game stay stuck.not even start button work...to play it has to been on title screen before gets black..is there a way to fix it.. it doesnt have to do with SEP #$20 i already checked with the 1st code before u gave me the other one.. it has to do with INC A or PHA or PLA...

Sorry cannot confirm. On my bsnes v70 with your patch and pcm it works flawlessly. Tried the demo mode with letting the demo race end, pressing start within, etc. The black screen is about 2 seconds. maybe you just didn't wait long enough

Well ur right..my origial Top Gear.smc rom was messy and patching tg_msu.sfc was messy.. to fix it i deletd thoser files and extract it the rom from the zip file.. now is working again..Conn u saw my nwe thread im trying to hack the last topgear but i think is harder than this one.. i managed rto paly music on my sd2snes but no game.. is all black..cause the sta $2140-43 eliminates the spc sound of selecting 1p 2p etc..now using LDA $045c ..spc sound works but hacking with msu1.. messup the game.. maybe is not hackable because of DSP-4 chip?

I just tried to trace the code and it seems they use a spc engine like in Donkey Kong and Secret of Mana, where I do not know how to substitute. Guess DS is the one to bug here...

i gave up on top gear 3000. im checking rival turf on zsnes and change music on 002140-02 nad 3.. so it plays different music..but finding the address to hack no easy... because most address breaks the game... is like one in 0099a7 and the other on 00e43a... one for the map screen ..the other is suppose to be the stages.. but no luck!

Oh i noticed smthing else.. i tryied to hack final fight 1st..i got musci from sega cd version..and is kinda hard to hack ..same way as rival turf.. games..with no music on title screen can be hacked the way i did with top gear..the game will hangin the beginning after hacking 2140-43..no fun...better ask drakon how hw hacked draculax..castlevania 4...final fight 2.. but that man..wil lnever reveal his secrets hehe

Sorry bother u again..Conn i managed to hack other game (Rival Turf) but again i still need to look for that 2nd address so i can hook the rest of tracks or maybe this game i have hook it up one by one??u did that on smw? well the address that removes the music in the game is 00e49f..can u give me the last lil advice .i know ur not into hacking now.. just lil advice if i hack the songs one by one or i can use a inc a or inx or iny to hoock all tracks like i did in top gear..
