Even when the overworld and dungeons are done it doesn't mean the game is done. It just means that the testing can begin.

Its just like creating any new product. Just because you create the product doesn't mean its ready to go yet. You then have to test it out, get feedback, and see if the overall experience is what you actually accomplished.

Yeah... finishing this game, is only the beginning of something even worse! The bug testing phase! But it's still far off, because even if the overworlds will be complete soon, I still need to finish my Parallel Towers ruins, the underverse and create that infinity chambers extra ''dungeon'' and lastly linking everything together. 

So there's still a shitload of stuff to be done, including bug fixes and suggestions from last beta that need to be taken into account, msu-1, dungeon maps and compass asm... remaining bosses graphics like bowser that need to be tweaked, trinexx that need to be inserted and various other final last minute ideas (like every game thats being made). Then the 2nd and final close beta will take place.

So my head won't rest easy until all the above is accomplished!

For the bowser boss graphics, I thought it was odd that you still hit him with a hammer in that one spot (former mask) I would think no one would know that they need to do that or forgot.

What if instead of a metal mask or just having it blank convert the metal mask into a metal ball sack. Yes, a metal set of BALLS and you have to break his ball sack with the hammer.

Because where you hit bowser with the hammer its like right in the NUTS! So its in the right location. Just a suggestion. Possibly shoot him in the d*** (penis)with the arrows too after breaking the nut sack off. LOLOL

I also think a normal tail with spikes on the end is better than the fireball at the end? Unless you can make his tail look like its on fire that is.

Also this is going to be one hell of an epic game!!!

Its also a good idea that you aren't calling the game Parallel Universes and I'll tell you why.

When the Nintendo Wii U came out lots of people didn't know it was a totally different console because it sounds just like the original Wii. A lot of people thought the Wii U was like an add on thing or just that hand held screen.

So it could be that if you went with the name Parallel Universes then people will think its somehow related to Parallel Worlds and possibly not understand that its a whole new game.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

I already fixed most asm related bugs from the last beta playtestings, so I think main issues reported will be on gameplay. Can't wait to see the next beta though Very Happy

Well, you fixed asm bugs Conn yes, but doesn't mean there won't be anymore will all the stuff you implemented in the past year Wink

Well Erock, I was about to make a new video yesterday about the lucky zora casino logo that has been fully inserted but then decided I'll make a video when the whole modern district is done instead! That'll include the casino, the stripclub, the milk beer bar and the subway! 

But since I took a break from hacking since the day before yesterday, to watch out the first 29 out of 39 episodes of that cancelled but hopefully will be renewed NBC's Hannibal tv series in one go, I rather have more cannibalism thoughs right now then finishing the overworlds lol

This is funny you mention that because I was thinking of doing the same thing until I thought it would be too much to handle for every invidual beings that were going to play the game, so I blanked out his ''shield'' graphics.

Needless to say that this is another yet amazing idea by none other then the men who suggested to add a peing function into the game! Are you listening game companies?! You need to hire that guy!

Well, I only suggest this because it seems to fit your game so well. And if you are going to have a dead bloody yoshis and toads heads impaled on a spear. I don't see how bowser balls would be out of place.

Also even if you don't add a peeing function there still is another way.

I think I remember seeing your subway dungeon tiles and seeing a standup toilet (urinal) graphic. You could put a message tile on the urinal and say a text like:

"wiz (then add the magic dust sound to that wiz text) ahhh.... what a relief"

or something like that. hahaha

I thought it would be too much to handle for every invidual beings that were going to play the game

i honestly dont think there is anything that is too much for this game, also remember you have to earn that mature rating too! Wink

I'm sure I squeezed 95% of all bugs since most of the code is also part of all-in and I continued bug-fixing there and ported the code for pu. I do not expect many...  Smile

Nah, no worries! The game is mostly done anyway, anything else I'll add will only be for polishing purposes!

Goood idea with the peeing self comment Erock! I don't think I still have toilet graphics in the hack, but it's easy to add them back!



The overworlds won't have been fully done during my vacation, but the progress I made is still satisfactory enough!

Last thing I did was fixing the introduction graphics of the uncle/bed sheet and added that lucky casino logo!

The one thing that I'm noticing about the strip club sign is that when you just walk into the building you can just barely see the sign. In fact you can't even see the girl and goron if you don't walk around the building.

I would suggest that the whole building be moved down so that you can actually see the sign and building name. Like the screen doesn't scroll up enough to fully see it if you just walk into the building.

And yes, there needs to be at least one instance where conker takes a piss in the game. Because in Bad Fur Day he gets drunk and pees all over some enemies. So even if taking a piss isn't a weapon at least it can be achieved with a text message as an easter egg or some sort.

Adding sound effects to texts is something novel, you really could do more of it (like the heart empty sound as *beep whenever f!@€ appears as I once suggested..)

I do not like to push you SePH, but currently I have some vacation and have more than enough time to do some stuff (like the msu thing and other bug fixes) - as I told you I am burned out on innovative stuff, but you also said that the hack is finished with that. So we are on the goal line - it will be a releave when the beta is released. And OoS beta will also be released soon as I read in another thread.

this sounds like an interesting idea. i would like to read the whole games text and see where else we can put sound effects.

@Erock: I can't move the stripclub sign further below because of how the tilesets are made (that flashing stuff). You won't be able to enter it during normal gameplay anyway so most people will just walk in front and the back of the building and they'll see the sign fair enough. Think of the stripclub as an whole easter egg anyway!

@Conn: Great, because I don't like pushing myself either. I can't really stop making my overworld to invest time in fixing other things because I'll never finish the hack otherwise. I really need to finish all my tasks before the rest as a priority. I'm pretty sure you'll have another vacation by the time I'm done with my duties. (overworlds, dungeons, dungeons maps, compass) then the final fixes, msu-1 and beta can take place. If I don't follow these steps, I'll never make it to the finish line Conn!

I don't know how you plan on doing the slanted graphics, but i thought i would try out something in photoshop.

i took the wall graphics and when to edit -> free transform -> perspective and tilted the graphic so it was slanted. check it out.

Alright, almost done, only last steps are color reduction, creating the tilesets, insert them, create the area and then I'll have finished another area ;-)

Just to let everyone know. I just e-mailed Gamemaker24 and asked him if he wanted to make a contribution to Seph's hack by supplying any resources he has.

I asked him now because I know you, Seph are trying to finish this game by the end of the year and that if something new is added then the sooner the better, because its always harder to add things when the game is already completed.

I mentioned that custom sprite blob enemy code that Reshaper256 coded from scratch years ago. It would be great if we could have a brand new enemy in the game!

I will report back on what he says and if hes willing to contribute anything. And even if he doesn't I will see if I can't convince him to. LOL

I also want to say that I too will most likely be retiring from Zelda 3 rom hacking once Sephs's hack is complete. I spent 8 years on this and I think its time to move on to other things.
