Funny,I had just requested Kurono to take a look at Sim City!



I do not have the free time at the moment to make a proper sound pack, but I will do so ASAP.

Could you please remove Adfly link and place a direct link to the .ips file? Thanks.

Ok, since the effort was made to make a full pcm set for this game, I will attempt to make a patch for it.

The keyword is "attempt" as my snes asm coding skills are still developing. Every snes game's SPC music playback is always different, and always requires a new approach to mute it and provide msu1 support.

Nonetheless, wish me luck. I will let you know when it's done. Please do not ask for status updates. I, like Conn, am also doing multiple projects (helping Kurrono with Aladdin and doing Toy Story myself).

Aladdin is pretty much almost finished. Kurrono was very intelligent in figuring out that my Darius code could be applied to this game too. I'm just tweaking the code to this game's quirks (Kurrono's attempt had weird random crashes and sfx issues). It was a very good attempt, though. I am grateful that his hard work saved me time in coding the rest of the game.

...And your skills badly improved in the past, I guess you get a real professional in a not too far future Wink

Myself I will not start a new project until those in progress are finished... too much maintenance otherwise.
And then and only IF I feel the motivation, my agenda is smarioworld 2 and somana 2. I prefer hacking bestsellers to satisfy the masses over not much known games...

FullGameZone, I am currently working on your game. It seems pretty easy so far. If all goes well, it should be done by the end of the week. It all depends on work, personal life issues, etc; you know the drill.

Ok, the FGZ set is missing 2 tracks:

scity-msu1-16.pcm 'Congratulation on Megalopolis' Theme
scity-msu1-17.pcm 'Congratulation' Theme

There is also an additional track in the game (hex 17, scity-msu1-23.pcm, not sure where this track fits in the game); I remarked it out in the asm, for now, until its placement is identified.

Also, the Alert sound cannot be used in MSU. This is because during the time this particular track plays, the MSU is already in use by the current stage pcm music. Bascially, one track must be MSU and the other SPC. No way around this, unless MSU standard is upgraded to handle multiple pcm streams.

I will put up the patch soon. I just have to find SPC replacements for the two missing tracks (in PCM format), mentioned above. Unless, someone has these in remixed form?

FGZ, I already converted those tracks and included them in your set. The patch is up along with your PCM set in the general forum. That is, unti Conn can create a category of this game to be put in.
