Great work, guys! Very Happy

Here's the TGCD Intro:

OK, test run completed without a single bug or glitch. Looks like you finally beat that town music bug, what was causing it anyways?

To be fair, in the TGCD version that music is playing while the text intro is on screen. In the SNES version the exact same events are happening, but in cutscene form rather than text. If the events were different, I might have selected another piece of music for it.

I couldn't find a rip of the Demonicus (Galgaban) dying sound effect from the TGCD game, so I kinda stole yours, lol. Same for Galgaban's island being destroyed.

I kinda liked the complete silence broken only by the glass shattering and pieces of glass slowly hitting the ground of the effect I used for that scene. Nothing wrong with the hum of demonic power you added though.

If you want to replace your wildcat sound with mine, feel free, your wildcat clip was actually one of the sound effects I used, lol.

@dale I meant no offense in your intro. I meant that it was weird seeing the TG-CD music from YsIII in the SNES (the TGCD video intro was playing in my head). My brain, was like, this is not right. But, that is just because I'm used to the music perfectly fitting with the TG-CD version.

As the intro music is playing, I'm imagining Adol and Dogi climbing the mountains (and almost falling), lol. Not in the bazaar.

@edale The town bug was happening because the Redmont and the Sparkle themes shared the same spc value. I first encountered this when I got to the window sparkle part of the game and it played the Redmont theme. I coded it to play the correct sparkle theme but it affected Redmont in the bug you reported to me (and saw in Shiryu's video).

I had to find a different value in RAM that could help me isolate them (redmont plays its theme and sparkle plays its theme). I'm glad I found how to separate them and this is over with.

Now, I'm stuck trying my best to help Kurrono in finding a good spc audio mute for Battletoads. This game is a PITA. I think, even, Conn took a break from it. I guess, Jurassic Park is not getting finished anytime soon.

The problem with battletoad is that it crashes on Geiger... And this is the only debugger I can find a hardcore mute... If somebody knows how to get it work, I could try...
Bsnes has no apu tracing as far I know...

Hello. I would like to say that I am working to put the YS 3 songs from PS2 into .PCM on the ips provided by Pepillo. Is anyone here doing this, or is it not allowed? thank you

@pepillopev
So I noticed you used the same music for both mini-bosses and main bosses. Checked my copy of Oath and verified that the mini and main boss themes are different, and you used the mini-boss theme. I also noticed a number of your tracks aren't looped the best. So...

Here's the main boss theme for your Oath PCM pack (track 110). As well as reloops of tracks: 14/72, 45, 67, 83, 100, 120, 145, 173, 202, 206, 215, 225 (this one I was able to shorten considerably, both verses were identical, so I just looped the first one, and cut the second verse out), 229, 234, and 247/251:

Honestly, I can understand the problem you had with looping them, it's very hard to find loop points with waveforms that crowded. I'm just OCD enough to keep looking until I find them.

Here's a foobar plugin that'll play MSU-1 PCM's, makes double-checking you're loops easy:

If it wasn't allowed, I'd have been in trouble for my TGCD pack, lol.

If you need any help let me know, I did already offer to convert any of the other versions of the Ys III soundtrack if anyone wanted them after all.

Erm, @Rockslam... Did you loop your tracks at all? I'm looking at your pack, and none of the tracks are looped... Not they have bad loops, they have no loops (in a hex editor the loop section of the header is all zeroed out).

*edit- It's really odd that the tracks aren't looped, considering they all cutoff abruptly, like they had been looped... Did you upload the correct versions of your PCMs?

@edale, sorry for the delay, I did not loop because playing here on my sd2snes and using patch 1.2.1 he is looping normally here with me. Is not that some patch configuration?

Great tutorial for making MSU-1 PCM files, including looping (looping is actually one of the main focuses of the video).

He has an updated video using his more updated WAV to MSU conversion tool, but I haven't watched that one, so don't know if it covers looping as well.

PS2 PCM pack. Original credit for the pack belongs to Rockslam.

Relooped and renormalized everything, as well as fixing one or two cases of tracks being labeled wrong.
