Stop Camera Scrolling Sooner

Recently a fork of BSNES came out with widescreen and I was tinkering around with some settings and managed to get alttp to run in widescreen like in this video:
The problem: The camera stops scrolling to late and bugs happen
Quick mockup of a possible solution:
I guess I'm asking if this can be done or not and if so, if anyone would try?
