Yes, patches in development are not meant to be added to the database unless they're testet and bug-free.
I was thinking about a spreadsheet that holds every patch and available soundPacks. This could be filtered for genre and type (msu-md/md+) on one page.
I was wondering if somebody already has made such a thing.

This one needs to get pre-patched with Pyron's Color Enhancement v2, see Readme.md for instructions.
Should be pretty solid already. The soundPack from "New Joe & Mac" is a matter of taste - personally I think I like the arcade OST better.

I could add more tracks - individual ones for every boss and stage, but let's hear the test players first, maybe it's good as it is right now.

I'll revisit any audio balancing in the coming days with this and Thunder Force IV, although Joe & Mac seems to be okay. Thunder Force IV FM is a bit loud.

I notice you're forgetting to add, or maybe omitting, that MD+ is also compatible with the Mega Everdrive Pro from the readme files.

Sorry I don't get it. Why on earth would you continue nagging about more and more patches while the ones in development aren't even finished? I will have to ignore this otherwise my motivation will instantly drop to zero.

First of all, thank you for making this a MD+! I've tested this on the MegaSD (in Mega SG) and I am happy to report that it works great. I have also tested it with Pyron's color hack, and after a quick checksum fix, it also worked perfectly. Thank you for your hard work on this. P.S. I am Wild9Nine on Discord, just in case you pop by the Terraonion message boards.

I only have a couple of tracks that I liked. The good thing is that changing the audio tracks in the sega patches are less difficult than in MSU1.
We are still waiting for your friend's tracks, I liked the sample of the first track you showed us.

Hi, I'm attempting to test this MD Plus, but I don't see the .cue file in the .zip. Is this one still being worked on? Sorry if I am jumping the gun on this one.

I didn't know there was a Pyron Enhancement for The Lion King, I'll include it in the next version.
Maybe not a bad idea to ask for testers in the TO-Discord - I'll think about it, thanks!

tldr: There's a soundPack in the works by "John Doe", in the meantime you can use Relikk's enhanced-chiptune pack.

To be honest, I will not do any project-management anymore. I was offering a template-driven issue-tracker on github back then and nobody used it. Instead, ppl went ranting that Musha Aleste had issues in forums and places where I only saw bug-reports by accident. I won't continue like that.
The sheet may be a good start - I'm clueless how to maintain this. As long as I'm not missing any bugs I'm happy with any tool.

A little motivation for y'all to send feedback:
I have the following games ready and will release them as soon as the previous 6 games were testet and added to the zeldix database:

I can put some time in testing something tomorrow morning. Hardware: MegaSD in a Mega SG. I have these four loaded up and ready to test: Flicky MSU, Columns MD+, Joe & Mac MD+, and Lion King MD+. I'll add any bugs I find to the spreadsheet.

Maybe it's better to only put the current sets in the sheet. I foresee that people see these entries and ask where to find them.

Thanks, with the example of your file I'll see how I refine what I'm doing.

Now I realize that the TF4 version of Sega Ages does not have the 100 lives cheat and retroarch does not have a database for that version. It will literally take me a lifetime to test the rom, I could never finish this game on the Sega Megadrive. Laughing

Open the patched TF4 ROM with a hex editor, I recommend HxD.

Change 2 Bytes of these locations to 4E 75 for invincibility:

When I assembled the MD+, I was slightly confused about the sound pack. Is this the finalized soundtrack for the game, or is it a placeholder? I had trouble distinguishing the music from the MD ost. Thanks.

The person that ArcadeTV is making the patch for, primarily, hasn't finished their audio yet. I converted the original YM2612 music as a placeholder, and for myself, because I love the original music and I always wanted to hear the music in the game without it being interrupted by the speech samples, and I always felt the percussion was a little muffled.

It should be fine for testing for the time being.
