Mortal Kombat II
Hi, just wanted to let you guys know I made a msu-md patch for Mortal Kombat II.
So if anyone is interested in making a remastered audio track that is now possible.
Tested on a Mega Everdrive Pro. Could not get it to work correctly in retroarch though.
The patch can be downloaded at https://github.com/jvisser/msu-md-mk2

Re: Mortal Kombat II
Thanks. We'll be taking a look at this today and it'll be added to the database when some audio is finished.

Re: Mortal Kombat II
When you say it wasn't working with Retroarch (I presume you were using Genesis Plus GX), what was happening? I am getting some buggy behaviour. It's like it's always playing one track behind from the title screen onwards, and the title screen itself seems pretty delayed in starting.
One track behind example...
- Title screen theme, delayed but fine
- Next screen, start game and move to "Character Select" but it plays the title screen theme
- Next screen, "Your Destiny" plays the character select theme
- Next screen, fighting the CPU will play the "Your Destiny" theme
Etc.
Here's some arcade audio to test with, it follows the track map listed in your patch.asm file.

Re: Mortal Kombat II
Oops, messed up the cd track id's. Thought they started at 0 but after reading krikzz docs the first track id is 1.
I made a new patch with the correct track id's: https://mega.nz/file/vGhzzYKI#Qgqr9txd7x-NTrTdLECUTRQ6Jqciu9DYRh9LmoFSldE
Seems to work correctly on Everdrive now. For some reason my retroarch completely stopped working with Genesis Plus GX.

Re: Mortal Kombat II
That works much better now and it seems good enough to add to the database. I'll give it a playthrough and see if I can spot anything before I add it. I'll make some audio tweaks in the meantime, as well.

Re: Mortal Kombat II
Thanks! I will push the changes to github and make a new release once I get your approval
Will add your name to the readme.md. Do you have a personal link you want in the there?

Re: Mortal Kombat II
Not a personal one, no. I just hang around here, mostly. Pev will probably convert your patch to MD+ as well once your changes are public, so you don't have to edit the header to "MEGASD" if you don't want to.

Re: Mortal Kombat II
The only thing I noticed is that some tracks tend to repeat when they shouldn't. Especially the "over" tracks.
So, tracks 1, 3, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 shouldn't repeat/loop.
Apart from that I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Made a new patch to the fix the looping issues.

I kept the MegaSD in the header just to keep it more compatible out of the box.

Re: Mortal Kombat II
Here's updated audio, with a properly timed intro and adjusted volume levels. Should be final.

Re: Mortal Kombat II
Sounds very nice! Syncs perfectly now.
Didn't expect a working version would exist the next day when I posted yesterday lol
I pushed the changes and made a new release with the above patch.
Sorry for the lack of QA on my part though

Re: Mortal Kombat II
There's nothing too extensive on my end, being honest. I play through a couple of times and try basic functions that anyone would use during play, and also checking for audio problems. If you want to wait and find more testers it's no problem. But if you're okay and willing to have any further problems reported to your GitHub then I'll post it in the main releases.

Re: Mortal Kombat II
