@Arnold101, I think it is a difficult process to due and also due to the fact that to my knowlage there are not a lot of good laserdisc games. It does not help also that the laserdisc failed in the marketplace. I think its the combo of those two why there are not more here. But hey at least we have one, thats more then anyone could want Smile .

Would it be possible to switch the intro song with that of the Sega CD/Mega CD version?

The author of the patch (d4s), who possibly is the only one able to fulfill your request wasn't seen on this forum ever Sad

It's just an audio track so it's easily replaced. Here you go...

Road Blaster Sega CD Intro PCM

Seeing as they used the PCM chip for that particular piece of audio, if there's a better quality version from another console/platform let me know and I can replace it.

I recieved this message from a user called Mark, has anybody information to reply to his question?

I have version of 452Mb (Super Road Blaster) SuperRoadBlaster.sfc.7z

Did you know if it is the 1.1 or the latest 1.2 with the bug fixes dforce3000 compiled on github ?
https://github.com/snesdev0815/SNES-SuperRoadBlaster

V1.2 Full changelog below:
added support for 1/1/1 chipset SNES/SFC added persistent highscore saving to SRAM added level completion screens added support for new msu1 command (audio error) fixed glitching sprite tiles after game over/new game (super rare) fixed wrongly allocated palette on hud sprites (super rare) fixed death events in level 4 fixed death event in level1 fixed black flickering on scene change fixed invalid frames on real hardware (relatively rare) fixed single-frame gfx glitch on dashboard when dying fixed flicker on video load fixed pause not pausing video bug fixed super logo not getting deleted (super rare) fixed dashboard bg layer having wrong tilemap size

I have hard time to figure it out
Thanks in advance
Mark

@Conn, It's likely to be the 1.1 version, depending on where he acquired that file. I checked into this game a while back and learned that the 1.2 version of it caused many people problems. The conversion of the video files is a headache. I hope that was helpful.

Apart from the "README" file, nothing on that GitHub has been updated in the last 10 years, and before the link went dead on dforce's website I downloaded what was there, and what is in the link above is what was downloaded. There's also a mirror link on dforce's website.

https://dforce3000.de/uid_43.html

It's safe to say that whatever was up there was the intended version, whether that's 1.1 or 1.2.
