What software to record

What software do you use to record the video of you playing the hack? I am wondering about to make a gameplay of Conker's High Rule Tail. And since I am not native english speaker, I'd make it in english lol which would be very funny.
But I've never did it before, I don't have any clue about how to do it you know.

fraps is a nice program to do that.

Snes9x emulator has an integrated "record video" option. Use this option and then select your codec (also part of the program). While playing you will hear no sound. Then press "stop recording" and save the video. Default sound is what the Snes outputs. Then you need to edit the video if you want to add your commenting.
