Top Gear 3000 :: Comments
Mostly a couple of FF is free space, some companies mark it with AA followed by a bunch of ff.
A good indication is, when these FF are at the end of a bank.
I was a bit sloppy and re-checked the rom and found such a free space at pc 00/ff50 - you see that the next code starts at 01/0000 (next bank); so this is definitely free to use for my msu code.
I do not trust the 00 region you send me per mail very much, my region is safer
I updated the code (asm+ips) in my patch, so if you re-download it from first post, it will not expand the rom anymore and thus it should now be 100% compatible with sd2nes

I submit a pack that I made for Top Gear 3000. Thanks to those involved for creating the patch.
Download PCMs Top Gear 3000 MSU-1 (Enhanced OST): https://mega.nz/#!IJxBHICD!HcTF_V25yYWeOtDnrsb_whJ_A_KU4uMwLLd3xETUd7M
Preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS6hDXS4rwc
This pack have a change from the video preview; In the video, there is a remixed version for the Cosmic Freeway, but I replaced it with a version that is closer to the original and to the other themes I worked on [It can be listened here: https://youtu.be/j14I1heybVY ]. What I did, basically, was substituting the percussions of the themes and treating them with some effects to make them stronger and to enhance their stereo potential.
I inserted a few moments of silence at the beginning of each theme to avoid a strange behavior when starting the pcms [Verified on BSnes and Snes9x].
As I readed here some recomendations about the fact that the sound effects are high, I have leveled the tracks to the maximum possible volume without clipping, and yet the sound of the vehicle's engine seems much higher than desirable. [The preview video was post-produced and does not match the actual volume of the game on BSNES. In Snes9x, by the way, the audio always pops up.]
I made a live using the Snes9x [ https://youtu.be/-p2tOw_t3ls ], but I muted the 8 audio channels through the emulator to prevent the clipping. In other sections, I released the effects except the vehicle's engine, but it is still possible to notice the audio cliping. For those who want to enjoy the songs, the engine may bother a little. Anyway, it is a good experience.
Thanks again, Kurrono, Conn, Ikari for the patch and, of course, to Neil Biggin that composed these lovely songs. Many years ago, he went to my youtube channel and comment in a video of mine. I noticed that he comment in many other youtube video with remixes of his songs. That is so nice.
To listen to the full versions I made a playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLt0C3JaLouTTCgNCmTK_OKZTZTPAek48v
See ya.

Hello man! I made pcm files from a cover made with real instruments from a studio producer here in Brazil. I tried several times to work with the pcms in this patched rom, but it only works on the snes9x not on the sd2snes. Is there some cloud folder I could share my music files so that someone create a new MSU1 version of this game and manage it to work on the sd2snes? Here is a sample of the loops I created from the cover that I found:

PLSSSSS!
Wav2msu.exe can do the work
I'm not good at looping..
For looping u need Audacity..
U got the get the value below ...
And adding the command while u converting to pcm ..so the song dont start from the beginning..
But idont music no more ..I'm into hacking heheh

If you can obtain the original lossless WAV files from the author, I can help you.

I tried to talk to the creator but nobody answered me... I can convert the MP3 files I have in 320kbps to high quality WAV files. Does that help you?
You can just upload the MP3's you have and put a link to them here. Also, name and number them the same as the original tracks you want to replace.
Hi guys,
Finally after a year trying to figure out how to deal with PCMs, I found some restrictions that I see they are specific for this game. I do not know why, but, I think it is something between DSP1 and MSU1 somehow they don't like to work together hehehehe...
Anyway,
New rock arrangement I made:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1voj_3L4Pax3YWGjomY4KcuGKgBpDGF6Z/view?usp=sharing
(Make sure to open readme file... then you'll be happy).
This arrangement is based on this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEBQM-_Sapw
PS.: I removed V1 link because the work wasn't that good...
Special thanks to Kurrono and Relikk, reading your work made me learn a lot about hacking and MSU1 stuffs!
I hope you guys enjoy!!

- Code:
## Changes from V1 to V2 ##
- I added some loops inside each PCM to avoid CD loop music itself which cause some pop sounds and sound glitches (I've only seen this happens in this title, I don't know why).
- I reworked some tracks for a more natural game feel.
- Converted from 48000hz to 41000hz which is compatible with MSU1 otherwise no sound or sound glitches.
- Tried to keep most of the quality including the reverb effects that are present on guitars and drums pieces.
- Increased Lows and Mid-Lows for a more Bass like rock (also because, I don't know in your consoles but on mine, Bass is kind'a low so I compensated for SD2SNES usage.
- Increased +8dB in all PCM files for sound correction in SD2SNES so it be regular and more flat with SFX from car / racing.
PS.: I removed V1 link because the work wasn't that good...

ok rafadorock4, I updated the first post. Let me know if that looks ok to you. Thank you for your contribution to the website.
