@Polargames Castlevania and Metroid are not mine. Others created those. Gryzor is my 1st attempt.

Oops, my bad, Sorry about that. I was really happy to see this being done. Got a bit over excited on it.

Gryzor, though Great job on it :-D

@Polargames I'm still learning. The coding is pretty much similar to SNES. Only problem, there is not much room to add patch code in the ROM. I had to sacrifice some native code to implement a half baked NEA (NES Enhanced Audio).
At moment, I'm looking at stuff over at NesDev.com to figure out how to at least expand this ROM. So far, this MMC3 based patch does not look like it has hardly any space to implement additional code. Ah well, I will get it sooner or later.

So NES is like gb games in the terms of space. ouch. Well at least you can do a have baked try instead of not being able to do it at all. Thats a good thing. I have been on NESdev before, its a great site. A while back I was trying to figure out why the game Contra Force has such a bad lag issue. Never did find information on that, but really got into the different program chips each game used. I must of read at least 2 hours of how the games were built. Really neat stuff.

I am no way an expert in this but have your tried to find a game that could be patched to change the rom mapper? Some of the games people have made mapper patches to help in the area of NES rom hacks. I think there might be a MMC5 patch for Metroid, I know there is one for Contra, I used that one to see if there was any noticeable difference,it seemed to run better, that was it. MMC5 mapper seemed if I recalled right the biggest official chip nintendo made in terms for space. Stay away though from the tengen mappers because those are bad in the tearms of programing them. In fact a lot of tengen games have mapper patches just because a lot of NES emulators do not read them well. i hope that helps
