If you have other MSU hacks that have empty/0kb MSU files you can just copy one and rename it.

Thanks for that again Talent. Do you or anyone have the original patch file and the PC sound pack? It looks like both of those links are dead as well.

Here's a Playstation/Saturn music pack. Also included is an IPS that adds Fastrom and the Double-Z mod.

Thank you. Seeing that the original preview video got taken down I just went ahead and added it as the preview one. I also placed a link under your PCM set

Yeah, Mediafire deletes the files after 2 weeks if you don't have an account, and I mentioned it to Pev last night but he's out of town working, so I just left it temporary until he had time to reupload it himself with his own files.

Hello, this is Mattrizzle, the author of NBA Jam Old-School Edition.

Indeed, the latest release from 2011 is not finished, hence its labeling as a demo. Several changes have been made in the years since, many of which exist in beta form within eskayelle's 2K21 and 2K22 T.E. hacks (I worked on a large number of ASM changes in those).

I've thought about using the MSU-1 to allow for a wider variety of announcer speech. This would also hopefully free up enough SPC700 audio RAM to implement sequenced music during gameplay.  If I were to succeed in doing this, the unfortunate consequence is that the current patch would be incompatible with the final version of the hack since the announcer and music can't use MSU-1 PCM tracks simultaneously. The difference could be split with sequenced music during gameplay and MSU-1 for other screens.

One humorous side effect is that people would be able to create PCM track packs for alternate announcers if they wanted to.

This sounds awesome! If you need help with getting the announcer samples from NBA Jam 2010, let me know. I already have them. There's a lot of Kitzrow goodness there!
