DKC3 GBA Soundtrack HD

Ahoy all,

I'm brand new here, having only recently discovered this site, and indeed, the world of MSU hacking. I just wanted everyone to know that I'm currently working on a pack of my own for the GBA soundtrack for DKC3. Inspired largely by Jammin' Sam Miller's entire trilogy in HD, I wanted to give a similar, but more liberal treatment to David Wise's arrangements for the GBA release of Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. It's mostly quite faithful to the OST, but I wanted to extend each piece, and/or mix it with its SNES counterpart (or other pieces in general). So if I may, I'd like to draw your attention to the links below for a small taste of what's to come. I hope to be posting the full pack late next month! I can't wait to share it with everyone. It's a real shame that we don't have any way of putting anything like this into a GBA game even in emulator..

well, that I know about anyways.

These are really cool, nice work! They could definitely be made into a PCM pack for the SNES DKC3, there's an MSU-1 patch for that game.

As far as I know, GBA emulators don't have any music replacement features like MSU-1 I think there are technical reasons why doing something similar there would be near impossible (no dedicated sound chip or something??)

Honestly, I can't wait to finish this project and implement it in ROM hacks (new music and new levels)! I'll be doing similar treatments to the rest of the trilogy too, so be on the lookout!

excellent work, very nicely done.  If you ever want to make a soundtrack for any other snes game i'd be happy to do the hacking for you
