I have a strange Problem:

When I use CAPSPC or VGMTrans to convert a SPC to midi it works pretty well -
but when I try to convert Track 5 of the Demon's Crest Soundtrack the song that is outputted is a complete different song! Confused

Can anybody help resolving this issue?

Are you running a msu project for Demon's crest? Who os hacking it?

No, since spctool and spc2midi gave me crappy results I researched other tools and found Loveemu's tools as a great asset.

He made several apps for midi conversion, including dedicated ports for each manufacturer:

And VGMTrans seems to be some kind of reincarnation of those tools:

CAPSPC worked just wonderfully with Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts since there are special fixes for it.
Somehow Demon's Crest works, but it's totally strange -
when I listen to the SPC dc-05.spc from http://snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?set&selected=668 it's the correct music. When I use either of Loveemu's tools to convert it, the output is a complete different song! So I guess either the SPC itself was not ripped correctly or it holds several songs which doesn't affect SPC playback but the tools don't seem to recognize it correctly...

I'm pretty stuck trying to get a midi for some songs including dc-05.spc
that's a shame because everything else is working out very well Crying or Very sad

Your game is underrated..it never was treated as the best games...because in 1994..not everybody bought that game..and to tell u the truth i never playe it just saw it on my magazine of Nintendo Power..thats it..but it seems that game used all the potential of snes..so its not bad game at all

Yes, it's indeed strange. Gargoyles quest was one of my favourite gameboy games, but until you brought this thread up, I've never even heard about this snes version.
I then watched some YouTube videos and also think it's underrated. It looked really interesting to me.
