Is there a way to change what item that your uncle gives you when you talk to him instead of the sword and shield? more specifically cape?

with a hex editor at the address : 0x2DF45
you change that byte for the item id you want, cape is 0x19 Smile

Just know that if you change Uncle's item to just the fighter sword and no shield, there will be a textbox that displays the "tempered sword" upgrade, so if you plan to do that, I hope you have a workaround for it if you were to ever consider it (such as redirecting the textbox it uses). The same thing applies when just the fighter sword is placed in a chest or on any other NPC.
