There’s always the option of petitioning the MiSTer devs to implement MD+ in to their core. They're the only outlier/odd one out right now as even Krikkz saw the benefit of adding it for his Mega Everdrive Pro cartridge, and of course the MegaSD and Genesis Plus GX supports it.
