Done and posted to the top. Let me know if you want a specific description for this pack other than what I did for the default. Conn, Relikk, or I will update to your preference.RedScorpion wrote:i finished the MSU Pack with sound from SO-R!
I already took care of it, Pev, so to prevent a double post, I needed to delete your post again. I'm in private contact with Red so I forgot to public post that it's listed at first post already. All others have also been updated this morning (file list, doc)

First Departure R (Remake Switch/PS4) PCM Set by RedScorpion:

The sound volume of First Departure R is very loud, you can barely hear the dialogue at the opening, I normalized here on my own (with the standard I always use, -18, which many here find very loud) and there was a track that had a reduction of up to 39dB !!!
Hmm,
i dont doublecheck the volume and expect it will work without issued. I also dont check the loop points, because the new tool perform the conversation to pcm with loops.
Thanks

darthvaderx just pm:ed me the -18db fixed set, it can be downloaded in first post.
Thanks
Thanks
I updated the patch to v8...
Reason is the resume $2007:04 in sd2snes which qwerty found out while working on zelda LA DX.
If you want to resume a currently played track somewhen later you make a LDA #$04 : Sta $2007
On sd2snes it takes a time to transfer the resume location, so if you immediately make a STA $2004: newTrack, the resume info might get lost.
To overcome I added this loop:
LDA #$04
STA $2007
loop41:
LDA $2000
AND #$10
BNE loop41

Which patcher program are you using, and what is the source of the ROM? Make sure you're not using the decompressed hack.
I think you can find pre-patched roms in the internet, all should be without header.
We have unfortunately a hard time to help if people report only "doesn't work". Does the game crash, or can't you hear msu1?
If it crashes you have a wrong rom (with header or something else).
If you cannot hear msu, you must check:
- did you rename the rom exactly into "so_msu1.sfc", means not so_msu, so-msu or whatever?
- do you have so_msu1.msu in your folder?
Also there is the possibility that msu1 is indeed played but the music sounds very alike the spc version (we had that case as bug report already).
Then you can check by e.g. taking another pcm file, e.g. from super mario world and rename it into so_msu-2.pcm. You should hear this then during the title screen.
Another possibilty is to load the game in snes9x and then try to delete the so_msu1.msu. If msu is detected it cannot be deleted.

CRC32: 6BA9E08D - Before applying the patch!
CRC32: 1F50B9CB - After applying the patch!
"Enter a battle, there the sound stands out better"
(Yeah, the sounds are very similar!)
Everything works normally for me here !!!

Is there a tracklist for this? I think I might try my hand at creating a PCM set for it if I can find a decent symphonic or orchestrated version to use...
Yes, but a proper tracklist has important information, such as which tracks loop, and which don't. Not having to figure that out myself is a MASSIVE timesaver.Relikk wrote:Or do it the old fashioned way, matching track for track.
I mean, I'd have to translate this:
- Code:

I think you have at the start a audio player in options, if I remember correctly these themes are in order means alike msu1 they start with 01,02,03 and so on... but they needed to be unlocked, means you need to have heard them in-game (savestate?).
