*32X+ features are only usable when using a MegaSD flash cart with a 32X attachment on a Mega Drive/Genesis (or compatible) console. Just like MD+, a Mega CD/Sega CD attachment is not required.

DOOM Resurrection (32X+) :: Comments
Quick Question.... Does this mod require the MegaSD to be connected to the 32X or the console expansion port?

Thanks. patched it this morning and OH WOW with the Metal soundtrack above this is awesome!
Can you do CD music on doom 32x if you're using an emulator like fusion?
It says "Verified as working on Kega Fusion 3.64" in the readme, so I guess so. The music packs here are optimised for MD+/32X+ seamless looping capability, so they'll cut off at a certain point and restart. They won't sound "right" on a setup that emulates a CD drive, but you can always create your own.

Ah I see
Thanks
That said, is there a 3do music pack for this hack?
It's always been my favourite

Just overwrite the current Tracks for the 3DO tracks in wav format and you have the 3DO music. "easy peasy lemon squeezy"shadowAOD wrote:Relikk wrote:It says "Verified as working on Kega Fusion 3.64" in the readme, so I guess so. The hack now supports real hardware, so add a mega-cd for more performance and cd audio.

Hello! This is my first contribution to the community. It's about the legendary Doom soundtrack for 3DO composed by Randy Scott. It has only been tested on real hardware (PAL) with a mega everdrive pro (v4.20) working perfectly. Let me know if you find any problem.

The lack of proper seamless looping is the only issue I have with it. We have an unwritten rule with MD+/32X+ where submissions should be using the full capabilities of the standard. I haven't checked anything else.
I had started to do it myself over a year ago, but never got around to it.
I think I got pissed off mapping the tracks, and I can't remember why I have track 18 in red. Maybe it might be missing from the "jagmaps" link and started to throw off the sequencing between the left and right columns.
If you're not confident with editing audio for seamless looping then I'll compare my track mapping with yours and finish it.

I admit that I left all the seamless looping tracks in the cue file with a value of 0 because even understanding its purpose (starting the playback of the track at a time other than the beginning) I cannot understand what measurement the numerical value given to the command has (REM LOOP). I have read that the measurement is in sectors not in samples, that a sector is 1/75 of a sample but in the end I don't know how to translate sectors in real time. On the other hand, the original doom music tracks were autolooped from the beginning. Anyway, if you can modify the cue file to put values in the seamless looping tracks that would be great!

As for track 18, it is a level that was not included in the 32x version (nor in jaguar/3do) and was added by the hack team. I took this into account when mapping the audio tracks.
Greetings!
