Thanks a lot, where do you found the update 1.2 that not on RomHack ?
Are you sure it is not an error with the best last version 1.23 of the original hack ?

No its not an error. Original PW is 1.23 and has nothing to do with PR. The Remodel is still 1.1 and was not updated in how the original was updated (no need). The 1.2 was the unofficial release which just fixes some minor things like monologues and the title screen bugs.

I am lost how to use this:
Updated 1-2 version: http://www.bwass.org/bucket/Zelda3_Parallel_Remodel_v1-2_IPS.ips

When I tried it said it was truncated(meaning cut) and also messed up or something to that effect. What I did was click on the link which had text in special characters, so I copied it into a text file and named it "Zelda3_Parallel_Remodel_v1-2_IPS.ips", then I tried to patch from it like I have done many many times from .ips files before.

Strike that, I should have read that it was just minor fixes. Although I am curious how to use that as a patch, I don't want to waste your time. Sorry for the trouble.

You use the 1.2 IPS as any other patch. You patch it to the original ALTTP US non headered rom. But like said only minor things were fixed and the Remodel does not follow the updates of Parallel Worlds (original), since I think there is no need for that. The Remodel is already playable with no save states.

Have you tried the link you posted?, because this is what I see:
https://i.servimg.com/u/f79/19/93/17/08/screen10.png

Great, I will keep in mind that the Remodel version is playable without save states.

OK, I figured out what to do. Instead of selecting all the text, copying it into a text file and naming it Zelda3_Parallel_Remodel_v1-2_IPS.ips and patching it. I instead went to File in Firefox, Save Page As, save "Zelda3_Parallel_Remodel_v1-2_IPS.ips" as "Plain Text Document", then patch it to no other than unheadered US which I knew, but it's good for newer users and people who missed that info to see.

Have you tried the link you posted?
Yes, when I click on it, then the file downloads.
Thus a link is a direct download link.

I just tried Firefox and indeed this browser can not download the file and thinks it is a TXT file, so it opens the file as if a txt browser would open it.

So you will Have to use Chrome browser to download. Copy the link to the browser and in Chrome it will autodownload the IPS file. Firefox can not for some reason.

Method in Firefox is like this:
Go to bwas org manually:
and type Remodel into the Search:

thus:
http://www.bwass.org/bucket
or
http://www.bwass.org/bucket/?s=remodel

now right click on the file you want to download and select Save link as.

And as you can see, the browser will think the file type is a Document, so before saving to folder, you will need to change the file type from TXT document to All files.

It will now download the IPS file.

You see, main setting in Firefox is Open, rather than Save/Download. You can see this when trying to downlaod a ZIP file and these 2 options are given. With complex extensions like IPS, the browser will go to auto Open the file and the chosen program is Wordpad, which obviously can not open IPS files.
