Conn wrote:I just saw that you had multiple breakpoints on the same track and wondered/traced why. There's no need to retrace with these new breakpoints, sinceSo, Do you want me to put 2004 and 2007 in the break point with V4 patched to the game to see what music gets played. Is that correct?
- you'd need a complete pcm set (spc fallback won't trigger the 2007 breakpoint)
- If A=fe1c or A=001c we all now that only 1c is meant (it's just a redundant load of the track but it only gets one playsignal
So all is good
Ok, Thank you for letting me know @Conn

Re: E.V.O. msu1 patch
Also thanks for your help, polar!
I tested the remaining unmapped themes with the red box technique I introduced in the first post and was able to find the loop value for the remaining themes.
I added v5 (loop values), should be the last patch version
Corrections to the sheet:
- added remaining loop infos
- Theme $00 is looping (was no)
- Theme $28 (forest) is a track
- Theme $2a and further don't exist
There is a "T-rex domain" labeled as 37... When I get to this domain using your savestate it is theme $19 (hex) played here
If there remain some unmapped themes when finished, I'd suggest trying the "red box" technique from the first post JUD6MENT, if you can recognize the theme.
If they are not found they can be left as spc fallback...

Thanks for your offer ProximaHell, but we's need to finish mapping and create the pcm set first, then you're welcome to test it

Thanks for volunteering your help, these projects take a long time for one person to do so having a team really helps. If you keep a eye out in the "wishlist msu-1" forum you can see any upcoming projects if we are going to start a new one and new volunteers are always great. Mapping music tracks isnt as complicated as we make it look, it only takes 20-30 minutes to learn how to do it and its just dropping down notes as you play the game and a new song comes up. If you want to help on our next project we will teach you how to do it. And like Conn said, once we are done with E.V.O its always great to have someone play through and test out if there is any bugs we missed or if a music track is wrong.

I mapped all remaining themes, using polar's notes, the red box technique and the OST:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TId461Ck_-pegQooWUwghgD3Lv0YtQ7BWjDM54QOhLk/edit#gid=159767949
Whereever I edited I used blue font color (found also a mistake, theme 13 was wrong mapped, was theme 14)
So now... who's gonna make the pcm?

...only if you really want to
I'm also not sure if we should add a column first to the docs with suggested pcm replacement themes, but if you already have all that are worth to replace, Awesome!!!

Re: E.V.O. msu1 patch
Alright... So I got 21 tracks in total from the two sets. Very slight mixing and matching between them, but the vast majority are their own soundtrack versions. I edited the spreadsheet and included a column with the tracks that were used (Original Track Name) and anything that doesn't have a PCM is marked as "None" in red, and they're mostly jingles. Here they are...

You did a great job Relikk on the pcms, but I do have a qusten for you. When I was playing I ate a bead that help me to change to a eel, when that happened there was no music playing at all. I had sfx but no music at all. Is that normal or is that a issue on the pcms? Again I in no way saying you did bad, I am just asking because I do not know if its normal in said game. I used the PC-98 file.

Re: E.V.O. msu1 patch
That'd be an issue for Conn. It's a trigger for the track to fade or start again when the event occurs that needs investigating.

He'll need as many bug reports as you can find to finish the patch, so your tests, reports and save states are welcome and appreciated.

Re: E.V.O. msu1 patch
@Conn, I would like to let you know that in the game there is a track issue. I asked Relikk and he told me thats a code issue. When I had ate a bead that turned me into a eel. The music stop playing, I had sfx but no music at all. It is the 3rd level in the very start in the game.
@Relikk, Thank you again for the info

Re: E.V.O. msu1 patch
Thanks for this bug report, could you send me a savestate maybe right before that happens (like Relikk advised). I'll try to play there but from the descriptions it is sometimes hard to match the bug.
Edit:
Ok I have sourced the bug myself. It is due to the spc fallback (spc jingles don't refresh the replay blockers. Will fox that asap.
@Relikk, thanks so much for your pcm sets, much appreciated

Re: E.V.O. msu1 patch
Alright, here's the new version:
http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/stuff/Con/evo_msu_patch.zip
I also fixed a fade bug when swimming into cave (it stayed at low level).
Relikk, if you are happy with this version, feel free to release it together with your pcm pack (Jump 'n slay...?)

Sweet, Thank you Conn, and your welcome for the bug report. For the cave I did not ran into that bug, just when I turned into the eel that it happened. Strange. O well its fixed thats the main part.

I don't, and won't have a video for this, so I'll leave it to someone else to release.
Just be aware... I edited a link in my post with the PCM's, so Polar's quote with the PCM links is out of date.
I'll re-post them here again, anyway.

Re: E.V.O. msu1 patch
I think I understand it correctly so that you "don't" want to release it and this "don't" doesn't relate to unhappy with the new version (like there are still bugs?).I don't,
Ah, I'm also not good in making videos, so I give this release request further to jud6ment...
Thanks for the heads up.

Yep. I haven't played through it and won't be, so no video. It'd be improper for me to release it. I just edited the tracks.

@Conn, I know that the game is not done, but I just wanted to let you know that I have my custom music done on the list. Also I do havea qusten for you. Would the video be something that I could do for the game, or is that way out of my ability. I am just aksing thats all.

Re: E.V.O. msu1 patch
The game is done (patch is 100% I hope and Relikk has 2 pcm sets)... I just need a video to release it. If you are able to make an own pcm set (or someone does it for you I can add it anytime).
I cannot know if you are able to make a video

I'll see what I can do later on this afternoon when I get home if there's nothing up by then, seeing as it's finished. It needs to be released.
