Fatal Fury Special :: Comments

First: thank you very much !!!
These two were missing to complete the trilogy;
very good.
One question: is the Fatal Fury Special patch the same for Fatal Fury 2?
Thanks a lot, going to the game !!!

Nope. Fatal Fury 2 is its own game and we skipped it intentionally because of a few things...
- It's a bad port, much like FF1.
- Special is an update for FF2 that renders FF2 obsolete.
- The port of Special is quite good.
The plan was always to go straight to Special and skip 2.

Sorry for the question above ...
Lack of attention here ...
Doing the tests here and there seems to be something wrong with the patch,
I can't get past the first fight,
I will continue testing, in case the error persists,
(the game restarts in the middle of the fight)
I'll come back and tell you, thank you !!!

I only tested on good old geiger, but relikk usually tests all stuff, bsnes, snes9x, sd2snes. He's a war veteran on this game so I'd think you mispatched anything... For now at least. Can you provide the crc, check headerless, and further info like the emu you use?
I'll replace the patch with bps, stay tuned

I cannot reproduce the bug, but changed to bps (clear browser history and redownload). I saw in your pm video, that it happens during a fight, which is strange since there is nothing that triggers msu...

Relikk, it is sd2snes... can you confirm it?
@VVV18, need to go to bed, much thanks for reporting in any case

Exactly,
happens during fights,
(at any time during the fight)
I will be downloading the BPS patch here and doing new tests,
thanks!!!
Thank you.

I can reproduce this on SD2SNES when the in-game hooks are on, but not when the option is disabled. Do you have in-game hooks or buttons enabled in the SD2SNES configuration menu? Disable them if you do. It should be fine then because this happens on the original, unpatched ROM when in-game hooks are enabled as well.
It's well known that the in-game hooks are unstable and interfere with a lot of games. Sometimes you'll have no problems but if you run into any problems it's always best to disable that option and try again.

@Relikk,
@Conn
good afternoon...
Perfectly my noble,
tested it again and deactivated in game-hooks,
I always do that, but this time I forgot this option,
in any tests I do, I always turn off all options, "always" lol ... (there are many options)
@Conn, just like you said: Relikk = "old war master" sorry for the inconvenience and thank you very much !!!

Nothing to apologize, even if this was a "fake bug" respectively a bug addressed to ikari,we also learn out of such stuff and next tine this happens to other users, they know what to do
