best abandoned project?

Hello, I have begun work on a full sprite sheet for Link's uncle. This game will serve as a direct prequel to ALTTP.

That being said, for simplicity's sake, a sprite-swap will serve as a great start to the project. in your opinion, which abandoned project would serve best for this sprite swap?

Id like to hear which you think would be best and why - logistically and/or how it pertains to the story/timeline being a direct prequel to ALTTP
