^^Didn't felt like making a video of the wisdom path since it's only three rooms because I don't use overworld transitions.

You'll all get to play it soon enough anyway. Wink

Dungeons left to complete:

(many bosses, bowser + ganon final boss)
^^will be linked to the mario bros 1 area and bowser bloody castle

***once wanted to have bowser as final boss, but will make it the sub-lieutenant of ganon instead, keeping ganon as real final boss, less messy that way***



(where you'll get the ice rod and the hidden path to ganon's hideout, hidden in the lost woods)
^^required if you want to get the ultra secret apple of eden ending, otherwise optional



(hardest puzzles and totally optional final pimped boss)
^^not much going here, as it's totally optional just like the Triforce Shrine and the Infinity Chambers...but will feature notes by us, the romhackers who made this hack possible!

After those are done, dungeons will be complete and ready to be playtested!!

When you release the beta, you maybe should also provide a spoiler walkthrough... I will not test the red thread of the game, and hate being stuck. I see my testing rather in a cheat supported gameplay (mostly due to time issues), with my most concerns and focus on bug sources (I usually know how to cause bugs, as I developed many codes and know how to trigger).

I leave the complete playtest with dungeon/item searching to Erock and others (who will hopefully not use your walkthrough), so they surely will tell you something about gamedesign, means at which point they are stuck. E.g., in your first beta it was quite difficult to find the next dungeon.

I'll record my whole testing playthrough. I'll obviously try to do a 100% playthrough given that I made the game. It will actually be possible to get all five endings using the same player slot...that's if you know the game.

It's possible to miss two endings and you'd need to do them in other slots in this case.

^^But don't think I'll do a full text walkthrough...will leave that job to a more dedicated fan!

With dungeon maps, overworld maps and the quest status which updates in the smartphone, you'll really have to be blind to not know where to go next!

Also I had a request a while ago to make Conker "pee" in a urinal or toilet. Now that there is a toilet graphic in the game this is what I want.

Conker goes up to the toilet. The toilet actually has a hidden message tile on it. When Conker presses the read button a message shows up saying he took a pee and the *twinkle* sound effect happens. This twinkle sound effect is the same one that the magic powder bag item makes in the original game.

impossible, erock... there needs to be a special tile inserted (like swimming, digging, etc.). There's no place for such a thing. Much asm for almost no effect

Wait. My idea has no asm at all. U hide a message tile on the toilet. The message tile shows a text message saying that conker is peeing. While the text is being shown you can play sound effects. And I just want the magic dust sprinkle sound effect to play because it sounds like taking a tinkle in the toilet. No asm at all.

Sure thing Erock, I'll see what I can do to make your wizz wishes come true. But my vacation's over now, back to work tomorrow so things should cool off for a while.

^^My overworlds are 100% graphically wise, I don't want to touch another overworld tileset ever.

I'll add sprites/items/holes/new paths for lost woods areas and that's about it.

^^Then focus on dungeons, monologue, msu-1 etc...

...(cry)...

Now off to some **Bates Motel**

I'll focus my full week of vacation in the first week of september for the beta, fixing bugs, takin' in suggestions and helping people out if they are stuck. Will probably take my november vacation to go back in either Cuba or Republica Dominicana, so I fully hope to have finished the game by that time, so when I come back I have my mind clear out of that game.

So be ready when the beta hits, I won't wait for people who aren't ready by that time...there's more then twenty people who will get access to it, enough people. More than enough to make this game suitable for everybody.

Well well, the big day will be here at last. Seph you freaking did it. You are the only crazy person mad enough to spend 12 years hacking this god forbidden game.

Lets hope that all of our work was worth it and that we created something special. Hope it lives up to the hype.

Expect to see a list from me of what I think is good and what needs improving on.

Also my artist guy has not responded to me. I need to give him another e-mail.

Yep this is it. Fifteen years of hacking this game is well enough.

It the end of the line, the light at the end of the tunnel!

Might finish the remaining dungeons during my three days weekend, who knows...dungeons editing is much faster than overworlds editing.

So dungeons this week, monologue next week, asm tasks after that, beginning next month msu-1, then I begin my own playtests at the job on my psp and then once I'm sure I didn't forgot anything, beta will be released!

All blocks moving puzzles, the hard ones that is, will all be moved inside his folder in the dev's hideout...I don't want anyone to get stuck on those for hours, so most dungeons will be on par with Alttp difficulty!

One hack to rule them all with a difficulty for just anyone!

Due to the beta and final coming out very soon, we should probably sort out the MSU-1 soundtrack because I don't know what it is currently. When you have time SePH, could you provide me the spreadsheet of the soundtrack? I'm sure you are busy, no pressure.

Sure thing. As soon as I'm done with my zsnes playtest, I'll do a bsnes playtest and sort the msu-1 out! I'm finalizing the dungeons as we speak while playtesting the game. Still a bunch of stuff to do, but I'm starting to really see that light at the end of the tunnel and it gives me the shivers really. Really amazed at how far this hack went!

A have a bunch of tables to manage and msu-1 is part of that.

My current playtesting made me finally add the crossbow graphics which were still using the original bow graphics!

I also fixed more than a hundred of bugs....literally.

Currently fixing the clothes for all the sprites when you get the red and green tunics.

^^Not many stuff left. I'll continue my playthrough this week after the job. Time to go sleep three hours before work :-P

Aside the bugs I posted in that other thread, the hack is really stable now, enough to finish the game I believe...hopefully if ganon works because last time he freezed, but I'm sure puzz could help debugging him here if thats the case.
