TMNT IV: Turtles In Time :: Comments
I think we left the old patch for archiving and research reasons, but if you read 2 lines above "old" you find
which most probably is the updated version
I didn't try it yet with my SD2SNES but I tried it on SNES9X. It seems that the sound is peeking and there's some distortion in it. Is there something I need to configure in the Emulator or is it in the patch?
the music pack link is just a link to the patch itself? where do i find the updated music files?
?
You mean
Inside the folder you can find a drop down arrow, where it allows you to download all, drive will compress the files into a zip then.

Look closer, you find the patch "tmnt4_msu1.zip" there but also the folder "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shell Shocked". Click it, then you find all the updated pcm:s (with correct update date, 02/08/2018.Music Pack (rev. Feb 8th, by Colines):

Mar, 5th: Colines just updated the patch and pcm pack (again normalized audio).
Does the patch cater for all the SPC's now? I started doing an arcade pack for this a few months ago, but it wasn't really worthwhile because there were still loads of SPC's not patched.
I do not know... I never tried the patch actually. Can you try and see which spc are left to cover?
It's probably because the soundtrack that was used only had those tracks and not the rest. At the moment there's about 6 tracks in the main game that are not used from the original arcade OST (character select, stage clear, warps, bad news/good news, continue, game over etc.) and the SNES version has an extra level that has no arcade equivalent (I think). Then there's a Time Trial mode, but forget about that.
It's probably best to leave it alone, come to think of it.

There's a list of tracks. The SPC's are always on top, the arcade equivalents that are available are below them highlighted in blue. 13-16 is the extra SNES level (they'd need SPC fallbacks or replacements). 46-50 are the Time Trial SPC's.

Most likely DarkShock didn't bothered to hack those banks, in the same way as he left unaltered the Dr. Light themes from his Megaman X series of MSU-1 hacks.
It's probably because of what you said, the Shell Shocked OST covered most of the gameplay, which is what people will actually listen to, at least for the big part of time.

Ah, I did it anyway. I was bored.
Arcade OST for the tracks that are available.

So I looked at DarkShock's ASM and the hack is actually complete. So, I added the rest of the arcade tracks that were missing.
If anyone can update the first post and replace the old Arcade link with this one, that'd be great.

Improved volume:
The first pack from DarkShock (Shell Shocked OC Remix) was way too loud, the edited volume from colines was then too silent for my taste. I readjusted the volume. All songs should now sound the same and won't drown the SFX.

Cool!
I added this as YouTube preview below your set in first post. This is ds' thread and I don't know whether he wants to keep his video shown embedded

Oh, cool. Had no idea there was a higher quality version of that floating around.
Let me know if there's anything to update at first post (or if you update the pack yourself, relikk ...
