* This game has SPC fallback at a per PCM track basis. Meaning, if a PCM track is missing from the theme list, the game will default to the original SPC music for just the missing track.

Unfortunately, no. I no longer support Higan since Snes9x and bSnes++ support MSU1 w/o needing a BML/XML file.

If I could suggest a emulator for you, Snes9x works really well with MSU1 games and also bsnes+ works to. I personaily suggest snes9x because it plays the games well and for me having a low end computer, snes9x does not take a lot of resources on it. But again what works for me do not mean it works for everyone. Just trying to help you out thats all

I consider writing a tutorial how to easily make bml files yourself... interested?

Actually in common, pittstone in particular - just to ensure my work won't be wasted. I remember that I already sent you a mail how to do it a long time ago (so I know you could add a bml if you wanted, but also totally understand and agree that you stop supporting).

Don't mind, I had some time to write that tutorial.
@Pittstone, see if you can make it work.

@Conn It’s good you put up a BML guide. At least now those that still prefer Higan can make their own.

Hi. Anybody can fix musics MSU-1 in Magical Quest? Because there's music problem from the Fire Grotto after the mid-boss.

@Brutapode90 First, please download this version of the bsnes-plus v0.05 emulator here:Brutapode90 wrote:Hi. Anybody can fix musics MSU-1 in Magical Quest? Because there's music problem from the Fire Grotto after the mid-boss.

Necromanting old threads?
Pev asked for a bsnes savestate... we cannot bug trace snes9x savestates... could you provide a bsnes v5 savestate like Pev requested?

Ok, I played it there and see your problem, after getting the firesuit, the music won't return. I ask Pev for advice.
Edit:
Here's a hotfix, you can check the game brutapode if this fixes your issue.

Ah. I already played and saved from bsnes v5 and I prepared it after you putted the new zip folder. The bsnes save data's folder is here.
By having tested on bsnes v5, it's the same problem. But thanks Conn.

Did you check with my new patch? because for me the issue is fixed with it when using your savestateBy having tested on bsnes v5, it's the same problem. But thanks Conn.

Oh, excuse me. I wanted say it was in the previous patch there's this same problem in Fire Grotto but not in your new patch

However, it's necessary to update again the patch because the music stop itself in the third area of the Pete's Castle (Before final boss room) when we're coming where there's cannonballs even in the final boss room.

If you find bugs, it would always be favorable if you provide bsnes savestates... so I do not have to play there...

Alright! No more problems even on Snes9x (Latest version only)! Thank you very much Conn!

Ok, I updated to 1.3 in the first post.
Much thanks for playtesting and verifying this patch now as fixed
