Done!!! Thank you very much, it works now. The result is perfect.

Actually restarting the song when leaving the house is not important. I was more concerned about the restart when leaving the villa.

I do not know anyone in my close circle with good english pronunciation. Maybe I can record it and use a voice modifier, what do you think ???

@edale:
I found a better solution when you wake up. I made it so to play track 7 on wake up (this is hardcoded). When you re-enter the house also track 7 is played.
Means the music will continue to restart when leaving the house, but since the wake-up/your house track 7 is distinct, it will sound better Wink

Just give it a distinct track for track 7 than 2,3,5 (you could also use track 7 from albw)


@Oskar
it doesn't matter if they can pronounciate good english. I'd follow edale's idea: If your father is still alive (or Yese's father,) it would be perfect if you can get him to record these lines Wink it would be a big surprise for her and if your/her family is behind the proposal, the better

Having them record the part in Spanish would be fine as well. I could still line it up to match the English text. Believe me that with something like this, the thought counts far more than the accuracy, lol.

Oh, and Oscar, any opinion on keeping or getting rid of the too-loud flute-boy?

OK, ran the gamut with track 7 replaced, and it didn't mess with any of the other wrong-track fixes (via duplicated track). You're right, that makes things much cleaner when leaving the house. We'll see if Oscar has any song suggestions for that part.

Side note, I've never actually heard the original version of Oh Happy Days before, only the version from Sister Act 2, lol.

Three things I consider changing.

1. Removing fluteboy as suggested.
2. Removing the sound the letters make in the dialogues (annoying).
3. Jumping straight from the titlescreen to in-game.

Can do all three in two days. Otherwise all is good in the hood!

Removing the flute boy should be easy enough for SePH.

I don't think getting rid of the letter SFX is possible (at least not easily), but an not sure.

As for skipping name entry? Again, I don't think it's possible; but again, could be wrong.

I adjusted it that the progress isn't safed... so the name entry can be part of the game without damaging anything. My personal opinion is to leave it and give her the opportunity to entry the name, but that's just me.

You gave me the opportunity to skip it by erasing the progress! Anyway most people seem to call themselves "G" these days, judging from edale progress videos and I thought I was the only one lol.

Think about it, it will only be a quicker demand, no harm done, she will accept and kiss him sooner hahaha.

The G was just me shooting through using a 1 letter name for speed, with G simply being the letter the screen starts on, lol.

Name entry actually doesn't matter in this since every mention of the character is 'Yese'.

Also, I already tested everything, and there are no issues with the save wipe. On replay, all scenes play as they're supposed to, and no new bugs seem to have popped up.

Got the track. You did some audio edits, before sending the track to me to do some audio edits, Very Happy . Next time you can just tell me what you want, and I can take care of the edits for you.

Zelda's clothes look pink to me...

For Link, that should be easy, just change which armor he's set to. Wink

I think this sprite would only need a few minor touchups to work for the dog:

Seph is a master in sprite editing, he surely manages to get the dog inside. Do you have a text wish? Like "woof woof I'm Bernardo. Marry me"

Zelda also looks pink to me, maybe you give a colour example? I hope it's just a palette color swap and not repixeling the sprite

It would be a final detail that would complete the entire work. Great suggestion by the way !!!

Maybe something short like: "Woof Woof. I'm Bernardo. The King has something important to communicate to Yese. Listen carefully to the end."

I'm still looking for the King's voice, I would like it to be in English to maintain consistency. Or, Bernardo could be the one to tell the story haha

The king starts automatical speaking so you can first talk to Bernardo after the king ended (so your sentence wouldn't fit, at least the last part must be adjusted). Or make him sit in the room before the king.
Or like you suggested giving the king the appearance of Bernardo. In the end, you decide and need to tell seph the direction where to go. It will be your great day!

If you think theretromancer has a suited voice for your proposal, I saw him recently on the forum, so try maybe a pm:

That's good enough, but since the king talks first and disapears afterwards I'd place the dog in the first room. Then it would work as usual.

Could add to the text: The king is waiting for you in the throne room. He has something important to tell you.

Do we need a voiceover for the dog? Lmao! Cool

If that would be the case, I could add a text monologue to appear as soon as you enter the room. Theres an asm by Conn to make text appear in rooms you visit, actually for bosses monologues but works everywhere you set them.

We'd just need oscar to record his barks or use any dogs barking sounds online lol.
