IMPORTANT SIDENOTE: "DKC2 MSU-1" and "DKC2 MSU-1 Deluxe" are two different and separate patches. It will not work right to use the original DKC2 MSU-1 Patch with the Deluxe PCM set. You need to match the right patch to the right PCM set.

Hey, Conn. Thank U for porting it to 1.1, but I'm facing a freeze with the second boss (Kleever). It happens every time I try to hit the first cannon ball. Am I doing something wrong?
Ive been working on my own set of PCM for DKC2. I have even been adding creaking boat, waves, lava bubbling, firefly and other such sound effects to the tracks i am making to give it a authentic feel just like the game, im planning on finishing by the end of the month and would love to show off my work then and maybe even have it available.

Hello, guys.
I was playing the MSU-1 and I remembered that when we apply the patch, the behavior of the countdown barrel is changed. They spin around without stopping, when the correct behavior is that it turns only when pushing the directionals.
The first barrel of these appears at the beginning of the first level (Barrel Bayou) in the third world (Krem Quay). It appears in other stages, but it is in Klobber Karnage, at Lost World, that this abnormal behavior makes the gameplay quite difficult. I stopped playing DK2 on Zsnes because that behavior always happened there.
I looked up the MSU-1 topic in the DKC Atlas and there are no references about this problem.
I did not test for BSnes. I'm just using Snes9x. The problem does not occur in fresh roms 1.0 and 1.1, but happens after applying the patch.

Poah, that was a hard to trace. Mattrizzle's code is innocent.
It's a bug in the native code, here:
$B3/EDAC 2D 00 20 AND $2000 [$B3:2000] A:0500 X:0E9E Y:0E40 D:0000 DB:B3 S:01FA P:envmxdIzc HC:0072 VC:254 FC:01 I:00
You see what it does: it makes the AND compare with the msu reserved register $2000 (that IS NOT used by the snes, so it's 100% an overseen bug in the RARE code). Correct would be 29 00 20 AND #$2000
Change in the ~headered~ rom:
0x33efac: 2d -> 29
and it should work
BTW: You can check it by using an original, unpatched rom and give it an empty msu file, like dkc2_org.smc and dkc2_org.msu
Since with msu on, the $2000 register gets #$53, this bug will appear as well.
I'll talk back with Colines whether we should fix patch this.

Colines already fixed it, I updated the patch in forst post link, so if you redownload and -apply the patch, this bug should be gone
Yes, if you look at the patch file extension you read bps, which obviously is no ips.
Use flips.

I didn't know that program, i was wondering why "lips" don't allowed me to apply the patch.
Thank you

I updated nine tracks to this album.

PCM 9 - Stickerbrush Symphony
PCM 11 - Flight of the Zinger (This one is my personal new favorite track)
PCM 15 - Objective Screen (the bonus room beginning)
PCM 18 - Snakey Chantey (which is the Smash Bros Ultimate Remix)
PCM 23 - Haunted Chase
PCM 31 - Crocodile Cacophony (which is the new Smash Bros Ultimate Remix)

@Conn Conn I am unable to move this DKC2 troubleshooting discussion over to the MSU-1 Volume Issue topic area made by Qwertymodo. Can you do this?
UPDATE: Never mind, I figured it out. Unless you are in the process of moving it now. I moved it over to the MSU-1 general discussion area (under DKC2 sd2snes bugs).

@Highblade7777 I moved your sd2snes issue over to the MSU-1 General Discussion area. This discussion became a different beast, so I moved it over there to keep this topic area minimal and clean.

Hey, I'm trying to get the uncompressed DKC2 patch to work, but there is no patch on the link, only the pcm and bml files. What ips patch should I use? Thank you guys in advance, you're all awesome!
