Did you reload from a save state?

Also, the Kurrono V2 pack is extremely loud and distorted. No amount of normalization seems to fix it. Looks like someone has pushed it way beyond the dynamic range and caused horrible clipping and lost data as a result. (Probably to compensate for the quiet MSU-1 bug that has long since been patched.) The pack needs fixing. It's a shame too, because the tracks within would otherwise be quite nice.

Hello, I'm the person who presented version 2 of Kurrono's set, what I did was simply reduce the sound volume of the original version which was too loud, but as far as I can remember none of the tracks had any looping method.

No, just booted the game from scratch and started a new game.

Uploaded a video demonstration in my last post. I'm about to try on my SD2SNES to see if there's any difference.

EDIT: There seems to be some track duplication. There's also Track #176 for that song. I'm going to copy it and see if there's any difference.

EDIT2: Yeah, that was the problem. Track #176 (which is also Kingdom of Baron) had a screwed up loop point. Now it's fine after copying it over with your corrected version. Either way, thanks for the responses and help. It's greatly appreciated.

Ah, I see. So the original V1 set is what was clipped to the point of loss and you just did what I tried to do (normalize it, but the damage was already done). If the original songs used to make it could be tracked down and re-converted, it could probably be corrected.

I have v1 here, if you want to check it out I can host it on Mega.nz.

Probably wouldn't make much of a difference. I'd need the music that was used to make the pack initially.

Then just ask the author of the hack.

Not sure if I flew by it or not but has the FF4 Pixel Remaster PCM's been posted?

Any plans to use the Malcolm Robinson music? His channel has 13 reorchestrated pieces from this amazing game and they all sound incredible and better than anything else I've heard. I'm unsure of the amount of work this would take but listening to the music should convince anyone with a love for the game + a love for great music to look into this.

Check out this battle track, for instance.

Do you know how I can merge the msu1 patches with the FFIV Ultima patch?
There is a subforum on Zeldix with one but the patch is outdated.

01-Expand the rom to 12Mbit (1.5MB) with Lunar Expander.
02-Apply the latest FFIV Ultima version and optional patches.
03-Apply "ff2j_msu1_1.5MB.ips"

Ok? Wink

I don't suppose there's a mirror for the IPS patch? Zeldalegends.net is kaput, it seems.
