Although the first Mega Man X is considered the best of the X series, Mega Man X2 is not far behind.  Not much changed gameplay-wise, only a few new things and the use of the Cx4 chip for some 3D effects.  The hacks made for this game, including Fastrom by kandowontu (removed from romhacking.net as of 11/28/2023) and Relocalization Addendum by Naldrag, are very similar to the hacks the first game got.  Although there being a relocalization hack made by Thirteen 1355, there are different versions for the addendum with a difference of script and dialogue but using Thirteen 1355's in places that fit better.  The three versions consist of each having name differences: Maverick - The localization of names for the U.S.; Irregular - The english version of Japanese names; and Rockman - Same as Irregular except changing Mega Man X to Rockman X.  The one included here is the Maverick version.
