I checked the code and I found one thing that *may cause this issue, please try this:

Never mind! It was the ROM itself! Oops!

I created a MSU1 PCM Rename Generator for SMW2+ and SMW2+2.

Conn Are you still able to fix the lines issue in MSU1 Patch. I think one of code changed was interfering Super FX 2 Chip.

Ah yes, check the posts from page 4 in this thread, starting with

If you read, you notice that it is not the fault of the msu patch, rather maybe from the emulator interpretation of the code, I am not able to fix that.

Edit, sorry. Reading further it is a problem with msu at least snes9x 1.55 (older versions like geiger have these lines). Id guess it's a problem of msu taking too much time and the graphics are not so fast. I can't do anything here... Sorry

@ABOhiccups
I found out what caused this issue, it is the irq hook.
If you like you can test attached patch... Since the irq hook is disabled, I am not sure whether the fade outs work properly (there's still a nmi hook for that fade stuff, but I am not sure that works in all instances).

I don't see any lines and it looks perfect!

The music (after Giant Baby Bowser was defeated) won't play.

Ok, you mean the victory fanfare I'd guess. Yes, since I disabled the irq, the code isn't executed anymore. I need to think about a solution.

Ok, I figured out this bug.

Be sure to patch a fresh new rom (you can use your srm but NO freeze savestate)

Unfortunately it does not work and will never, because this patch is consuming all free space necessary for msu...

Sorry that I try to stick on my retirement plans Smile I am as well from Germany and therefore understand the requests having a game in the mother tongue... However considering that we maintain 160 msu patches it is simply impossible to port every patch into every version. For jump and run games usually elementary school English skills are needed "ah, bowser, please help", so I personally see no need here for porting.
Another thing are of course RPG:s where indeed improved English skills are mandatory to complete the game... And we provide pal patches for most RPG as far I know (at least those authored by me, CT e.g. not unfortunately).

Anyways, I always put the source asm in my patch zip files. It is usually possible to quickly port games into another version. All I use is a hex comparison program, look where the hooks to the free regions are by comparing the native rom with the msu patched, and search for the corresponding hex string in the version you want to port.
Then simply exchange the org $... in the source asm to the new address, compile and you have it. You don't even need asm knowledge for that task.

Unfortunately, at least for SMW2 this is out for reach for you.

I ported it as absolute exception, further requests on porting anything else than RPG will be happily ignored.

http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/stuff/Con/smw2_msu1_patch.zip

Find smw2_msu_pal(Europe)(En,Fr,De).ips inside.

Also, there may be some bugs, e.g., I had to fix the intro music (this has somehow a different track number).

I added a 1.1 version. Clear browser history and redownload patch, you will find it now in the subfolder "pal".

By using the Enmet's PCM set, when we're starting a level we can hear a very small part of SPC music (For one second) before it became in MSU-1 music.
Yes, this also happens in the US version, you are the first one who noticed. I fixed it for all versions in the new update

@Conn
Thank you very much for porting your patch to the PAL version. I did not want to bother you in the middle of your retirement, but selfishly I am very pleased that you have accept the Brutapode89's request to make it.
On a side note: Your PAL 1.1 patch is also 100% compatible with revision 2 of the PAL ROM (Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island (Europe) (En,Fr,De) (Rev 2)).
